Genevieve & Chad were our first 2025 wedding couple on the books! We were so excited to get started with their engagement photos as they planned for their fall 2025 wedding. When we were discussing their vision, Genevieve wanted to have two different looks - a more elegant and classy photoshoot, and also a more casual and fun one - so we did just that!

Their first photo session was in downtown Springfield. We started at some beautiful locations featuring the new state capitol, and finished our evening exploring some more downtown sights. Genevieve and Chad are complete naturals behind the camera, and they are especially great at those sweet candid moments.

Now for part two - a bit later in the summer we met up at the Illinois State Fair! The state fair is an important part of their love story, it's where they first met and they love going back to the fair every year. We started the session by taking some romantic photos in front of the carnival rides. Then, Chad played the baseball game and won the largest bear they had! We finished the evening with a pit stop at the mini donut stand so they could share a sweet treat. You know what I loved most about their session? They took photos like no one was watching. It didn't matter that there were literally thousands of people around us, we were having so much fun I didn't even notice!
